I was thrilled for the opportunity to speak to the memebers of the Chesterfield County Chamber of Commerce at their “Recharging, Rethinking, Reinventing and Relating” dinner.
Allen Calls for fewer regulations on business

Former Virginia Gov. and Sen. George Allen test drove his business stump speech last Friday night before 360 businesspeople, government leaders and guests at the Holiday Inn Koger Center. Allen was the featured speaker at the annual banquet of the Chesterfield County Chamber of Commerce and is the likely Republican candidate for a Senate seat in the November 2012 election.
Just a few days before the chamber banquet, Allen officially announced his candidacy to reclaim the seat now held by Democrat Jim Webb. Some believe Allen contributed to his own defeat in 2006 when he used the slur “macaca” during a speaking engagement. Chesterfield typically votes Republican, and candidates depend on the Chesterfield Republican Committee to deliver a large Republican margin to offset other areas of the state that vote Democratic.
