My Election Day Message to Virginians

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

Virginians, ignore the polls, Vote! After you vote, please ignore the ‘exit polls’ – they’re always incorrect.

The Key indicative places to watch for results are Loudoun, Prince William, Fairfax, Henrico, Chesterfield, Buchanan, Henry, and Frederick Counties and the cities of Manassas, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Roanoke and Lynchburg. McCain must win big west of the Blue Ridge (in the Shenandoah Valley and Southwest Virginia), Southside and the Piedmont. The Richmond suburbs are also key. The Hampton Roads region will be pivotal to winning Virginia and we should see record numbers of absentee ballots from members of our Military Services.

It’s another close election in Virginia. Momentum seems toward the McCain-Palin ticket with further understanding of Obama policy agenda of wanting to “spread the wealth around” and wanting to “bankrupt” the coal industry and cause skyrocketing electricity prices. This latest revelation could most directly impact and swing voters in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, Montana, Colorado, West Virginia and Virginia. Of course, everyone who uses electricity would ultimately be adversely impacted by an anti-coal Obama administration.
