23,000 Show up for McCain-Palin Event in Fairfax
Wednesday, September 10th, 2008Jonathan Martin at Politico posted this picture saying “Not since Grant Hill was at South Lakes… has there been such a crowd gathered in Fairfax County. Today was McCain’s record-best, with the campaign putting a fire marshal count at 23,000.”

If there is hope for Fairfax, I think we are in good shape this election. Tom Davis said in a Washington Times story that McCain was leading in Prince William and Loudon Counties and this was pre convention and Palin. Barring an all out push by the Democrats I’ll go on to predict that McCain takes the state with 52%, maybe 53% if Republican turnout holds firm.
I also saw that we are very competitive in Pennsylvania, down by only 5 in Michigan, and down by only 2 in Washington!! It’s all down to the debates and Obama getting very nasty. I smell for the first time, a come from behind Cinderella story that sees the Republican Party keep the White House. If that happens, what then for the Democrats?
